Hello Church!
This month we will be going through the Book of Galatians and then Judges, Galatians is a letter from Paul the Apostle defending the gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by keeping the Mosaic Law. Paul warns against legalism, especially the idea that Gentile believers had to follow Jewish laws like circumcision to be accepted by God. The letter emphasizes Christian freedom, unity in Christ, and living by the Holy Spirit, producing the “fruit of the Spirit” rather than sinful behavior.
The Book of Judges recounts how the Israelites repeatedly turned away from God after settling in Canaan, they fell under oppression from their enemies, cried out for help, and were delivered by judges such as Deborah, Gideon, and Samson, illustrating both God’s mercy and Israel’s growing moral decline during a time when “everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”
